At the end of last year, I surveyed 200 working mums to get their thoughts on the biggest workplace challenges. From the mums I often talk to, I knew that work-life (or work-family) balance is a big challenge. However even I was surprised at the results – 75% of women who responded told me that work-life balance is their BIGGEST challenge at work.
(By the way, if you want a copy of the report, just drop me a line to request a copy, whether it’s for personal curiosity or to show to your employer or share with your women’s network).
And that’s WHY my 3rd online conference explores the insights and learnings from inspirational women and expert speakers on how they balance work and life so that you can too.
The thing is, the work-life balance that works for me might not be the balance that works for you. It’s a bit like baking a chocolate cake. There are core ingredients in every chocolate cake recipe such as eggs, butter, flour, sugar, chocolate … and then it’s up to you as to how you combine those ingredients.
You might find that at times in your life, your best recipe for work-life balance needs some adjustment. A little extra something; or a little less something.
For me work-life balance has these five core ingredients: contribution, wellness, work, family and the feminine. Each speaker will focus on one or two of those core ingredients.
To get a flavour of what to expect from the conference, check out today’s preview video on YouTube. If you haven’t yet registered, it’s not too late. Check out the speakers here.
p.s. if you know you want to feel more confident about the way that you balance your work and life, or you’re worried that changing roles will upset that precious balance, let’s talk. Sometimes a simple conversation is all you need. And if you want more help, we can talk about that too.
