When I ran my latest Career Confidence workshop, one of the discussions focused on the importance of looking after the most important person in the world, especially when she is feeling overwhelmed or stuck.
Who is the most important person in the world?
It’s you of course. Didn’t you know that YOU are the most important person in the world?
It’s absolutely true. You are THE most important person in the world. See, it’s so important I’m telling you not once, but twice.
And here’s the thing. You’ve got to look after no 1 first so that everything you do works for you.
Why do you need to look after the most important person in the world
Because if you don’t look after you, who else is going to do it?
If you don’t look after yourself, how will you be the best mother you can be?
If you don’t look after yourself, how can you be the best leader you can be?
If you don’t look after yourself, how will you get the best out of you? How will you boost your creativity? Your productivity? How will you deal with stress and overwhelm? How will you get to make effective decisions?
