My daughter is working towards her Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award. Next weekend, she’s doing a 10 mile hike with her group. She’s pretty fit but even so, 10 miles if you’re not used to that distance is a fair distance. So I suggested we do a practice hike. What with doing the Petts Wood Runners beginners course in the morning (walking there and back), followed by the long walk with my daughter in the afternoon, my legs did about 9 miles. Not bad.
A few photos from our walk in the beautiful countryside of North West Kent in the very spot where Daylight Saving Time was ‘created’.
