I love living and working in the beautiful Kentish countryside. One of The Confident Mother elements is wellness – both physical and mental – and there’s nothing like a good country walk on an English summer’s day to boost your wellbeing and encourage your children to be active.
Today’s post celebrates this on a warm summer’s day. We chose a walk from the National Trust selection of walks in Kent. Parking at Ightham Mote car park was just £2.00. We took snacks and drinks. A bit hillier than I anticipated in places. A total of 4 miles in about 2.5 hours. Stunningly beautiful.
This last photo shows the hopper cottages – where the hop pickers used to stay when they came to Kent in hop picking season.
Love Ightham & Kent. Nick hails from there so we are regular visitors
it’s gorgeous isn’t it
