‘Summertime, and the livin is easy’ or so the song goes.
Not if you’re a mum?
Not if you’re a mum, right? Often the mums I talk to are in two or three (even four) minds about the school holidays. Glad not to be doing the school run, but wondering how they’re going to fit everything in, and already feeling their stress and overwhelm levels rising. You’ve got stuff you’ve got to get done but you don’t to miss out on having fun with your children.
Maybe you are reflecting and celebrating that you have had a brilliant year already. Some mums are simply relieved to get to this point, especially if your children have been doing GCSEs. Some of us, me included, are wondering how did it get to be June so quickly.
Maybe you’re feeling frustrated that you’re behind schedule on your plans for the year. Or cross with yourself that you’ve not smashed those goals. Perhaps you’re starting to think “I’m just not cut out for running a business AND being a mum”.

Just imagine how much you could get done
Just imagine how much you could get done when you are really clear on your goals, you have absolute focus and a super clear action plan to follow.
Here’s what you will have achieved in just a few short weeks if you start now:
- sort out your CV and LinkedIn profile ready for job hunting ‘proper’ at the end of summer
- draft your flexible working request
- launch that business idea that’s been at the back of your mind the past few months
- identify the strategies to keep your business ticking over during the summer
- develop your survival strategy action plan to keep your kids entertained and your clients happy
- pinpoint whether your focus needs to be on creating a marketing plan or redesigning your website
So here’s my bright idea to give a few of you a confidence boost to get you set for business summertime livin easy. I’ll be honest, I don’t normally offer one-off confidence in action sessions. But often the mums I talk to just need one or two sessions to get started, and aren’t ready or don’t want a long-term commitment.
Once you are clear on what is most important, and you’ve got a clear action plan, you’ll find it so much easier to get going and keep going. Waste less time faffing and spend more time having fun with your kids – whether that’s at the beach or in the park.
Simply decide how many sessions you want: a single 60 minute session for just £97 or one a week until 31 July. Why 31 July? Because, as I mentioned earlier, August is fully booked out to my family. The more sessions, the bigger the discount, which seems fair to me. We can do these over the phone – daytime or evening – so you don’t need to worry about childcare or getting to places. (If you’re not sure if one session is enough, book your first one and we will figure that out at the end of the session).
If your child gets sick, or England (or Wales) get through to the Final (dream on Sherry), we can reschedule – ideally 24 hours’ notice. And don’t worry this is coaching, not brainwashing. I won’t be giving you orders or telling you to work 60+ hour weeks, week in week out. Not my style and besides it’s not good for you!
Summertime and the livin can be easy … you just need a little help to get you started.
