I’ve had a few questions about my Job Search Confidence programme which starts on Monday 28 September so I thought I’d share the answers in case you had that question too.
I’m not a woman in technology, does that matter?
Absolutely not. There’s a real mixture of careers and sectors in the group. Technology is my background but what I teach works for any sector.
I’m getting the job interviews but I’m never getting shortlisted, will it work for me?
If you’re getting the job interviews, that means your CV is working … but is it getting you the right job interviews? Together we’ll figure out if there’s a mismatch between your experience and the jobs you’re applying for.
How much time commitment every week?
Around 20-30 minutes per day. Over 6 weeks. My clients love my courses because it’s all broken down into bite-sized tasks so you get a video, a worksheet and a task every day. Plus some consolidation days which you can use to catch up or take a break.
What if I can’t make the live calls?
The live calls will be recorded so you can catch up. There’ll be an ASK ME ANYTHING live on Wednesday evenings and a group call Thursday lunchtime. If you can’t make a call, of course, you can submit your question(s) in advance.
My LinkedIn profile is non-existent
That’s ok. We’ll get it all ship shape AND you’ll discover how to get visible.
What if my boss sees me tidying up my LinkedIn profile
One of my strategies is that you should always maintain your presence on LinkedIn so that your activity doesn’t draw attention. There are some settings on LinkedIn that you can switch off so that others don’t get notified of your updates BUT there are millions of people on LinkedIn so it’s very unlikely that your boss will see everything you do.
I’m not a Facebook user
The online community is hosted on Facebook and that’s where I’ll give you feedback, run the evening lives and ask you to post your task updates … I’d encourage you to use Facebook for the duration of the course at least. Though you’ll still get all the videos and the worksheets by email, and you’ll still be able to join the group calls on Zoom.
£200 is a lot of money for me right now
I could have made this course much cheaper but what I’ve learned over the years is that if I make it cheap, people buy but don’t do the work. And honestly, I want you to do the work. Because I want you to have a work that works for you that’s paying you what you’re properly worth. I know that what I teach works.
This is an investment in you and your career. The return on your investment will be the right job, a better salary and more joy from your work. And you’ll be able to make that next career move more quickly and with fewer sleepless nights.
How long is the course?
It’s 6 modules over 6 weeks; though if you fall behind, you get lifetime access.
If you’ve got a different question, please do get in touch.
