I recognise that I’m asking you to invest your time, energy and money into Back to Work Confidence and it might seem like a big commitment. So I thought it would be helpful if I answered all the questions in one place so you have all the information you need to make the right decision for you.
When does enrolment close for Back to Work Confidence?
It’s a rolling term-time only programme. The 1 day workshop happens once every term in March, May and October. Plus the ongoing support via Actions, Accountability, live Q&As and access to the Resource Centre is available from whenever you sign up. Click HERE if you’re ready to get started.
Is this the right programme for me?
This is for you if you want to go back to work but can’t decide what to do next and it’s driving you crazy because you’re changing your mind on a daily (or hourly) basis. You can’t make up your mind whether you want to go back to employment, change career, start a business, or stay at home for another year or two. We will make sense of that together.
This is also for you if you’ve already worked out what you want but you’re a smart woman and you know you could do with some help and support to get there.
This is not for you if
- You are not willing to invest in yourself and your career
- You are not ready to put in the time and take action – I can’t do that bit for you
- You just want to take and not contribute to the group
What kind of mums join Back to Work Confidence?
This is for women who have taken a career break, want to change career or who have taken redundancy and want to go back to work with confidence. It doesn’t matter what role you had in the past or what you’re hoping to go back to (employment, freelance or start a business). The challenges and concerns are very much the same.
The last two mums that joined me found new jobs within 6 weeks of the workshop.
What if I don’t know what I want to do next?
This is the perfect programme for you! I have designed it for mums like you who are feeling overwhelmed, stressed or just plain confused. Back to Work Confidence stops that chatter in your head that’s preventing you from working out what you REALLY want and the actions you need to take.
Will I get all the practicals like updating my CV, creating a LinkedIn profile, networking etc?
YES! Absolutely. Lots of this will be covered on the one day workshop or you can bring specific questions to the weekly live Q&As. Plus you’ve got access to the Resource Centre. And if there’s a topic or masterclass missing, tell me and if I think it’s a good fit, I’ll create it just for you.
How does it work?
The programme includes a one day workshop when we will explore where you are now, where you want to be and how you are going to get there. You will come away feeling refreshed, focused, in control and ready to take decisive action. Plus 3 months of ongoing support and accountability to keep you on track and focused.
- One day workshop (a short day designed to accommodate the school drop-off).
- 3 months ongoing support and accountability (from the day you sign up so you can get started straight away).
- Q&A call every week (recorded if you can’t make it live).
- Accountability and actions every week (to keep you on track).
- Facebook secret group (ask questions, request feedback, get opinions or be inspired. Open 24/7 so you can post when you want, and wait for your replies).
- Online masterclasses (access as and when you need)
- The Resource Centre (downloads, checklists, and other goodies as extra resources)
- Access to 50+ Confident Mother interviews (lifetime access)
- Back to Work Confidence Essentials Guide ebook (60+ pages packed with practical advice)
- Signed copy of The Confident Mother book (to inspire and motivate you – if you already have a copy, makes a great gift for a friend)
- Clear Confidence 6 module course (gets you thinking about what’s most important to you)
- Career Confidence 6 module course (get confident that your career is the right one for you)
I’m not planning to go back for another 3 months, do I really need to start now?
The mums I often talk to planned to go back when the kids started school in September and then get frustrated when they’re still at home a few months later. Going back to work takes planning and preparation; it’s never too soon to start. The sooner you sign up, the quicker you’ll get back your confidence, sense of self and a new career!
I’m not sure about working in a group?
Many mums aren’t sure if a group is for them. If that’s you too, this is not a big group event. That’s really not my style. I’m not good in big groups either – put me up on stage, and I’m happy. But when it comes to groupwork, I much prefer to give you the personal attention in a smaller group.
I’m not sure I can afford it
Spending money on yourself might feel like a big expense, a luxury even … but if you are at a cross-roads, now is the time to invest in your career and personal development. Perhaps in the past you’ve happily spent £2-300 on a weekend away, a yoga course, an investment handbag or dinner out in a smart restaurant. When was the last time you invested in you or your personal development?
Yes, I’m asking you to invest however it will help you in the long-term because you will get to grips more quickly with what you want and how to get it. You’ll be able to go back to work sooner. You will have access to the relevant masterclasses when you need them e.g. CV presentation, networking skills, or interview preparation. This is an investment in you but also in your family’s future.
You will feel less overwhelm and less stress. Decisions will feel less daunting. You’ll be able to see beyond your fears. Plus you’ll have that ongoing support and accountability to keep you on track.
Is there a payment plan?
Your investment covers the workshop (refreshments & lunch) plus live weekly Q&A and access to all the resources for 3 months.
But what if my child is sick on the day and I can’t make the workshop?
We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it but you might want to explore backup childcare options – something to think about when you go back to work anyway. Or you come along to the next workshop or depending on your urgency, you can upgrade to a one-to-one session with me.
What if I can’t make the Q&As live?
If you can’t make a Q&A live, each one is recorded so you can catch up afterwards (I know how busy it can be being a Mum) but if you can make it live I’ll be able to answer your particular questions there and then. You can still get your questions answered by posting in the interactive Facebook group, available 24/7.
What if I change my mind?
This is a learning course not a done-4-you programme, so you must participate fully and take action in order to learn and see results. I promise to deliver high quality content and learning and I’m confident you will get HUGE value. However, if you invest in this programme and decide it is not for you, you may request a full refund up until the first break on the one day workshop. This allows you to attend the first part of the morning before the refund period ends.

Here’s what some other mums who have worked with me have said:
“Sherry brings many talents to her coaching. She is patient, organised and her enthusiasm is infectious. Her good business knowledge and positive mindset really contribute to a quality service. Rare to work with someone so passionate about what they do and I think this is what makes her service really stand out.”
Lorna Mills, Cheshire
“Having Sherry by my side while I step my way through the transition from stay at home mum to working mum has been utterly invaluable. Her gentle but firm approach has given me the chance to re-engage with the “professional” within me, allowing me to move forward while keeping on track of all other aspects of my life.
She delivered a fantastic and generous level of support, encouragement and guidance without it ever feeling forceful, and she has an incredible knack for teasing out and addressing any issues that may be blocking progress.
Sherry far exceeded my expectations … and has enabled me to discover what it is to feel powerful.
It’s no exaggeration to say that the experience of working with her has been life-changing.
Thank you Sherry.”
Ashley A, Manchester
“I first met Sherry at a Mastermind group and found her to be a remarkable coach that goes the ‘extra mile’ to ensure you achieve the objectives you set out to start or grow your business. She has a natural ability to pick up on someone’s strengths and when you work with her she will help you get clear on what those are so you can really focus on what you are good at doing (even if you are not sure what these are). Her clarity and action taking through her range of volunteering and professional experience puts her ahead of many coaches and she has certainly helped me cut through the overwhelm.”
