The Confident Mother

Helping ambitious women in technology fully unlock their leadership potential

5th November 2014

A collection of fabulous women to support you

A few posts ago, I mentioned that I have a list of favourite coaches and mentors who offer fabulous support to women in various ways. I thought I would share these with you today.

There’s a great article here about how to find the right coach for you. To my mind, the most essential is having that rapport and trusting in your gut instinct as to whether she or he is the right one for you.

Here then is a list of my favourite coaches:

Fi Feehan – an amazing coach with a truly extraordinary ability to draw out what is lurking at the back of your mind, and you perhaps haven’t quite found the confidence or the words to articulate. This woman is THE BEST. She’s so good, she’s a little secret squirrel of a coach in that she has been so busy with client work, she doesn’t have a polished website yet however there is one in development. For now, if you want the secret squirrel access to Fi, let me know, and I’ll put you in touch.

Lucinda Button of Mindful Mamas. When we first met online, I hadn’t realised but Lucinda and I both trained with The Coaching Academy. Interestingly we have the same ethos in the work we do with mums. We want you to know that good enough IS good enough and that you don’t need to be the perfect mother. I’m delighted that Lucinda will be one of my guests at The Confident Mother virtual conference in January and she’s planning an exciting experiential session.

Alison Jones – Alison specialises in content marketing and publishing services for small businesses. She has in-depth knowledge of this sector and she is a really good coach. Alison and I first met through running without realising we were studying for the same coaching diploma.

Sarah Arrow – the best blogging expert and coach that I have come across. Sarah really really knows her stuff. If you want help in blogging successfully, Sarah is most definitely the one for you.

Vivienne Smith – author of “THE SINGLE MUM’S SURVIVAL GUIDE – How To Pick Up The Pieces and Build a Happy New Life”. It’s clear from the book title where her specialist niche is.

Nis Arend – if you are a woman working in a large corporate, you’ll love Nis and the powerful training she offers on professional soft skills, inspiring and empowering you on your career journey.

Irene Brankin – Irene is a coaching psychologist and specialises in supporting women in mid-life re-connecting with their resources and dreams.

Sarah Buchanan-Smith – Sarah is a fabulous resource if you have a professional background and thinking about launching a business from home. Sarah has done this successfully. She understands the strategies you need and the challenges you face.

Susan Heaton Wright – offers vocal and communications training. Really powerful stuff. I’m talking to Susan next week about being a guest at The Confident Mother.

Caroline Ferguson – Caroline coaches in the areas of mindset optimisation; her work is fascinating and empowering.

Anne Armstrong – a straightforward, no-nonsense coach with a great sense of humour too, and I highly recommend her. She helped me overcome my fear of swimming, no mean feat!

Oh and there’s me of course! I am an expert in helping women get clarity on what they really want, then finding the confidence to go and do it!

Wow, what a collection of inspirational coaches and mentors. As you see, there is a coach specialising in just about every aspect of your business or personal life. I have worked with some fantastic coaches – and you don’t have to do it face-to-face. I use Skype with many of my clients. I hope that if you are looking for a coach or mentor, that one of these wonderful people will be just the right person for you.

If you’d like to talk to me, visit my Contact page or book a free chat to find out whether coaching is the right approach for you.
