Supporting parents on their breastfeeding and infant feeding journeys

How to get in line for a pay rise

I could feel my cheeks burning and my stomach clenching as I put down my pen.

I was SO angry. Absolutely raging inside. Frustrated too.

It was so unfair.

I was in a meeting with senior management discussing pay rises and bonuses for my department.

They wanted to give a bigger pay rise to the male in my team ‘because he’s got a wife and family to support’.

I’d followed the process.

I had been super professional.

I had acted with honesty and integrity.

I’d taken the time to review each of my team members’ performance over the past 12 months and assigned ratings fairly.

And they didn’t want to follow the due process that they’d prescribed.

I’ve often thought back to that meeting room.

The thing is, if I hadn’t spoken up, nobody else would have done.

It’s not enough to work hard, you need someone in the room where it happens.

That’s what I do.

I help women make a bigger impact at work so they have someone in the room passionately advocating for them so they get the pay rise and the bonus they’ve earned.

I give you the tools and the techniques you need to fast track your career success so you don’t get passed over for promotion.

Sign up for the Career Catalyst so you can start making a bigger impact at work and get in line for a pay rise.
