I would love to share your career change story. We all love to read about somebody who’s been there, done it, got the t-shirt and come out the other side smiling.
Sometimes when we’re struggling or feeling overwhelmed, reading about another woman’s happy ending is enough to give us new energy and fresh inspiration.
Often the women that I work with one-to-one or as part of a group want to change career. They might want more flexibility, they’ve ended up in a career ‘by accident’, they’re not really enjoying it, it’s not what they expected or they have since found their true passion.
But they’re stuck and don’t know how to move forward. Or they worry that they’ve invested so much in their career. Are the risks too great? Can they afford to change? Can they afford not to change?
This is where you can help by sharing your story. Here are the suggested prompts to use:
- Tell me about your career now
- what do you do
- what do you love
- what’s a typical day
- What prompted you to change career
- What challenges did you face along the way
- What or who helped you in your journey
- What’s the best thing about changing career
- Your top tips for women thinking about changing career
This is not a ‘fixed’ format. Write as much or as little as you want for each prompt. I will exercise light editorial control e.g. correcting typos etc.
I’m looking for between 600 to 1200 words.
