The Confident Mother

Helping ambitious women in technology manage their career with confidence and purpose

Silent Sunday photo: Sculpture trail in the City

As a busy working mum who loves the architecture and atmosphere in the City, it’s fabulous to discover a reason to visit the area at the weekend with my family. A couple of weekends ago, we followed the Square Mile Sculpture in the City art trail #sculptureinthecity.

I love this part of the City … I worked on Bishopsgate and then Leadenhall Street for 13 years. See which of the streets and buildings you recognise.

The sculpture trail was great fun. We were lucky with the weather. After we’d had enough of the sculpture trail, we jumped on the No 15 bus from Monument down to Charing Cross station and then walked across to St James’ Park for a picnic.

What about you? What do you enjoy doing with your children at the weekend?

When my son was younger, we loved to do anything! Just getting out of the house and going somewhere was fun for us! We often visited various parks, trails, and local events. But when the weather was cooperative, we loved to go camping, rafting, and anything else we could find. BTW, I love your pictures!

thanks Julie; we’ve done a lot of dogwalking and hikes out in the countryside too
