The Confident Mother

Helping ambitious women in technology fully unlock their leadership potential

For the busy mum who takes her business seriously

Women come to me because they have ambitious business plans. They are serious about themselves as business women and their business. They want to grow their business. They want to be successful. They want to feel powerful. They know they could do this by themselves but it’s a smart woman who gets help and support.

Running your own business can be lonely. You might feel isolated, stressed or overwhelmed; nobody to second guess your decisions (often close friend and family don’t really get what you do) or bounce ideas off. You start to doubt yourself. Or your business. Or both.

Many of us want to prove that we can do it all by ourselves. Or we think, maybe not even consciously, that asking for help is admitting defeat or a sign of weakness. After all, you’re a smart woman, you should be able to figure it out. Well, guess what, there no prizes for doing it on your own.

The thing is, when you look closely at the smart businesses, run by smart women, they benefit from the energy of a team of people. Not necessarily a paid team, but other business women who support, encourage and inspire them. Even better, a business coach or joining a mastermind can have life-changing impact on you and your business. But it’s finding the right coach or the right mastermind. The coach who knows about being a mum. Who understands business; understands technology; understands balance, clarity and confidence.

You want to work with somebody who appreciates that family comes first when your child is sick, or there’s a ‘bring your mum to school’ day or a last-thing-at-night-create-a-book-character from egg boxes and sticky back plastic for World Book Day. I get that. I really do.

Everything I do and run is designed to be flexible for business mums. There are two ways you can work with me:

She Means Business

Straightforward business coaching to help you get clear on what you want from your business, whether you’ve been in business for 6 days or 6 years. You already know that it’s important to spend some time every week focussing ON your business and not just IN your business. Use your CEO time to work with somebody who’s objective, analytical, focussed, and on your side  … you’ll be amazed at what you can achieve.

The starting point is a 3 month package – with a call every couple of weeks. Six calls in total including a double session at the start so we get really clear on what you want to get out of the coaching.

Here’s how it works

I offer daytime or evening sessions. We do over Skype to cut down on the time needed to get to places. If you’re an easy commute to London or North Kent, we can do face-to-face for a small additional charge to cover room hire. We can do a mix of face-to-face and Skype. Plus you get full access to my Resource Centre while you’re a client.

Business Review

This is for you if you know your business could be bigger, more successful, generate more income, attract more clients, or feel less stressful, and you just can’t see the wood for the trees. I worked as a law firm performance consultant when I first set up my business in 2012. Take advantage of my analytical skills and consultancy background to boost your business performance (don’t worry, I won’t be charging you law firm prices).

Here’s how it works

The Business Confidence Review is a five stage approach: Discovery – Analysis – Review – Action – Follow-up.

You fill in a questionnaire about your business and send me some facts and figures.

We have a conversation so that I get clear about what you do, who you help, what’s bugging you and what your goals are. I go away and look at your data (I’m one of those geeky women who loves numbers, spreadsheets and detail); we spend a short day together to review my findings, identify what needs to change, develop the strategy and create a realistic action plan.

We book in two follow-up calls where we check in and review what’s working, what’s not. You can bolt on a 3 month coaching package if you need or want ongoing support. (Naturally, you get a discount, seems only fair if you’ve already invested with me).

Want a sneaky preview?

If you’re liking the sound of this but you’d like a little sneaky preview of who I am and how I work, click <<HERE>> to join The Confident Mother Means Business Facebook group. I’m in there most school days to encourage other business mums to get inspired, take action and feel more powerful as a woman and as a mother.

Let’s talk

You can do anything you believe you can do in your business. All you need is the clarity, the confidence, the right support, an effective action plan and accountability.

If this sounds like the support and help you need to build or grow your business, or do something different, get in touch. Let’s talk to find out how we can work together. Click here to find a date and time that works for you.

There’s absolutely no commitment but as an action-taker myself, I will encourage you to take action, whether that’s to work  with  me or to take  a different first step.
